Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Landscape Maintenance Technician. This position involves working in various outdoor environments, ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of landscapes.

Compensation:
Competitive wage ranging from $21.00 to $22.00 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience. Salary adjustments will follow company policies.

Employment Details:
This is a seasonal, full-time position requiring 40 to 72 hours of work per week, depending on weather conditions. Overtime may be available, and shifts may include early mornings, days, and weekends.

Job Requirements:

  • Language: Basic English proficiency
  • Education: No formal education required
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related field
  • Work Environment: Primarily outdoors
  • Work Setting: Landscape contracting
  • Specialization: Experience in commercial and industrial landscape maintenance
  • Tools: Must possess steel-toed safety boots
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work long hours (8-12 hours/day, 5-6 days/week), attention to detail, capable of repetitive tasks, handling heavy materials, and performing physically demanding duties
  • Weight Handling: Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork
  • Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with power lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and pruners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Water and care for plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and other lawn care products
  • Perform treatments such as pruning and repairing damaged areas
  • Plant and maintain both private and public gardens
  • Move and plant trees as necessary
  • Feed, prune, and trim various plants and trees
  • Remove debris and litter from work areas
  • Cut grass and maintain lawn health
  • Transport and spread topsoil and other materials
  • Collect refuse and maintain cleanliness
  • Lay sod, seed, and mulch as required
  • Safely operate mowers and other landscaping equipment
  • Assist with leveling and grading tasks
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
  • Be prepared to work in various weather conditions
