About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our team at BDO. As a key member of our Financial Reporting & Insights team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and working paper files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and complete working paper files, financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns as needed.
  • Provide technical and project management leadership to team members on Accounting projects and engagements.
  • Assist in the direction and training of staff, reviewing completed files to ensure quality of work.
  • Prioritize projects, establish budgets, and assign staff to meet client deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive client relationship and identify potential new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Participate in delivering formal project/team performance reviews and provide effective input to reviewers on team members.
Requirements
  • Must have successfully completed the CPA designation.
  • Should possess 3-4 years of experience with Notice to Readers or Assurance engagements, corporate and personal tax, and compilations.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is required.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively, demonstrating flexibility in managing workload demands and handling multiple tasks as required.
  • Should have excellent skills in Accounting Software, with familiarity with Sage, QuickBooks, Caseware, Excel, and other software highly desirable.
