Electrical Applications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Applications Specialist to join our team at The Headhunters. As a pioneer in the Electrical & Industrial Automation Equipment industry, our client is a global leading manufacturer with applications in the EV charging, conveying & logistics, lighting, horticulture, and energy markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Design, develop, test, and implement applications tailored to client specifications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Electrical Cabinet Design: Design and assembly of electrical cabinets and connectors for industrial and commercial applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Software Configuration: Customize and configure software applications to meet client requirements, providing expert guidance and support.
- Technical Escalation: Serve as a technical escalation point for front-end development issues, offering expert guidance and support to resolve complex problems.
- Product Enhancements: Develop and implement enhancements to meet client needs, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Product Testing: Participate in product testing and provide feedback to enhance product quality, identifying areas for improvement.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support on industrial electrical products and connectors, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of client queries.
- Quality Assurance: Investigate matters related to quality assurance, implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
Occasional travel may be required for meetings with customers in Canada and the USA.
Requirements:- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, CET, or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills: First-hand experience with DIN rail terminal blocks, industrial connectors, PCB terminals, Power supplies, Ethernet switches, and HMI, as well as industrial functional safety controllers, sensors, and relevant standards.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of related sections of UL, CSA, CEC, and NEC preferred.
- Manufacturing Experience: Design, manufacture, and quality control of electrical cord and harness manufacturing.
- Electrical Power Distribution: Electrical power distribution and design of buildings (residential, commercial, and industrial).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in the role of Applications Engineer.
- Expertise: Proven expertise in application engineering, project management, and product technical support.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
- Additional Skills: REVIT, e-plan, and wire harness software experience is a PLUS.
- Salary: The discussed salary for this position is $75,000 – $90,000 plus a BONUS structure. Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
