About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Technician to join our team at ORCA Global Express Ltd. as a Heavy Truck Mechanic. As an Industrial Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment

Use your technical expertise to detect faults and malfunctions in our heavy trucks and equipment.

Diagnose and Repair Faults

Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs as needed.

Order and Maintain Inventory

Manage the ordering and maintenance of parts and supplies to ensure our equipment is running efficiently.

Perform Routine Maintenance

Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other necessary work to keep our equipment in good working order.

Test and Verify Repairs

Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and is safe for operation.

Requirements
  • Education

A trades certificate or diploma is required.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in a related field is required.

Work Environment

You will be working in a dusty and noisy environment.

Work Language

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.

Hours of Work

35 hours per week.
