Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at 2253796 Ontario Inc. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Load and unload goods, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely communication.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Experience an asset, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work 44 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
