Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and motivate a team of food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent service.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels, minimizing waste and optimizing supply chain efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure food and service meet the highest standards, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
  • Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels, meeting the demands of our busy food service operation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor at Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, staff, and management. You will be required to stand for extended periods, move around the kitchen and dining areas, and maintain a high level of energy and focus throughout your shift.
