Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing services to patients based on their individual needs and care plans. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing services to patients, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
