Job Title: Concrete Finisher

Bison Concrete & Construction Limited is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a precise finish.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices for concrete finishing.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to ensure a secure and durable finish.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from the elements.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to ensure a long-lasting finish.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain their integrity.
  • Estimate costs and materials for concrete finishing projects to ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Permanent employment with a regular 35 to 40 hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
