Ware Malcomb is seeking a highly skilled Director of Architecture to become an integral part of our senior management team. This position is crucial for steering design excellence, driving growth, enhancing profitability, managing personnel, and cultivating client relationships within the architecture sector.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the financial health, business development, operational activities, and team dynamics of the Architecture division.
- Ensuring all client and consultant proposals and contracts are effectively managed.
- Reviewing and approving project budget reports prior to contract finalization.
- Maintaining organizational charts and continuously assessing office forecasts, financial performance, and staffing requirements in collaboration with the operations manager.
- Taking charge of the overall operations of the Architecture division alongside the Operations Manager.
- Promoting a positive workplace culture, morale, and the overall well-being of the team.
- Monitoring monthly project revenue forecasts and providing timely updates.
- Preparing comprehensive monthly business reports and engaging in regular meetings.
- Driving business development initiatives and nurturing client relationships to enhance market presence.
- Participating in networking events and establishing regular meetings with industry contacts.
- Utilizing the Ware Malcomb CRM system to document all business development activities.
- Reviewing team workload schedules and attending scheduling discussions.
- Proactively addressing any project liability concerns.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the team through scheduled meetings.
- Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to attract new talent.
Qualifications for the Director of Architecture:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Architecture field.
- Proven track record in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in developing and sustaining client relationships.
- Extensive experience in managing a variety of projects.
- Ability to inspire and cultivate a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
