At triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled International Student Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our student services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success and well-being of our international students.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional support to international students, addressing their housing needs and ensuring a smooth transition to our campus.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with education partners to plan and coordinate student pre-departure information sessions.
- Organize and facilitate student orientation events, working closely with staff and community partners.
- Build strong relationships with landlords, real estate professionals, and community organizations to provide students with comprehensive housing support.
- Stay up-to-date with the Landlord Tenant Act to provide accurate advice to students on housing matters.
- Network with shelters, hotels, and emergency transitional services to support students in crisis situations.
- Refer students to qualified third-party resources for study permits, work permits, and immigration matters.
- Share knowledge and best practices with other student services coordinators to enhance student support.
- Work closely with the Campus Director to coordinate peer-assisted learning programs and professional tutoring services.
- Plan and execute activities to enrich the student experience, promoting academic success and personal growth.
- Organize guest speakers and community partners to deliver life skills workshops on campus.
- Ensure international students receive their health insurance cards and are aware of their coverage.
- Effectively communicate student services and support to students, facilitating access to resources when needed.
- A college diploma in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of housing markets, student, and community resources.
- 3-4 years of administrative experience in education or a comparable environment.
- Experience coordinating group activities or events.
- Understanding of the current educational environment.
- Strong organizational skills and intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
