POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary role of the Warehouse Associate is to guarantee the systematic, prompt, and accurate movement of materials and products for selection and dispatch on the distribution center floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts counting, weighing, or measuring of incoming or outgoing items to verify identifying information and variety against bills, invoices, oral instructions, orders, or other documentation; inspects incoming shipments for damage or shortages and reports findings to the supervisor; completes necessary paperwork or forms for documentation.Utilizes tools such as steel cutters, blades, or other hand tools to open containers; loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves either manually or by employing appropriate material handling equipment.Engages in routing, counting, and inspecting items while loading and unloading carts or trucks; ensures items are delivered and returned to their designated locations within the warehouse.Selects products and processes orders accurately as instructed, both manually and through a computerized warehouse management system.Fulfills orders and issues materials and supplies as requested; documents transactions accurately; maintains precise records.Safely transports products and secures cargo with proper weight distribution.Ensures that products staged and stored are placed in safe locations, avoiding walkways or exit doors, and stored at appropriate heights.Maintains vigilance regarding safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials, adhering to warehouse safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.Conducts inspections and maintains cleanliness in the work area.Employs computerized systems to complete tasks efficiently.Provides on-the-job training for fellow associates.Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

1 - 2 years of relevant experience required.Familiarity with and capability to operate automated or computerized warehouse management systems.Understanding of record-keeping practices.Knowledge of safety regulations.Preferred experience in receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment in a diverse warehouse environment.

SKILLS:

Ability to lift heavy packages and objects (up to 70 lbs).Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to follow instructions.Strong task prioritization abilities.Team-oriented mindset.

Compensation begins at $18.50 per hour, depending on experience.

The salary range is based on similar roles in comparable industries and labor costs in respective areas. Actual compensation will reflect the candidate's relevant experience, educational background, and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to adjust the range as market conditions evolve.
