Job Title: Registered Nurse - Geriatric Inpatient

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Geriatric Inpatient team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support to our geriatric patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Geriatric Psychiatry experience
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
