Job Title: Environmental Services Assistant

At Verve Senior Living, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Services Assistant to join our team. As an Environmental Services Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our residential facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair work to ensure the building and its systems are in good working order.
  • Monitor and maintain environmental fire safety conditions, equipment, and alarm systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds to identify and address any potential hazards.
  • Perform monthly maintenance checks of all equipment and supplies within the residence.
  • Maintain the exterior grounds, including salting, snow removal, and weed control.
  • Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, and repair work as needed.
  • Maintain required records and reports as outlined in the policies and procedures of the maintenance department.
  • Participate in staff meetings and applicable educational training.
  • Follow established safety rules and policies and procedures of the maintenance department.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, tenants, and staff to ensure a safe and clean environment.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education.
  • At least one year's experience in a related field, preferably in the electrical or mechanical trades.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions in the English language.
  • Able and willing to perform physical duties inside and outside the home when necessary.
  • Ability to move heavy objects and work in a team environment.
