About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Ashoka Indian Cuisine. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Order Taking and Management: Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, ensuring a well-stocked and organized wine list.
  • Table Management: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Payment Processing: Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit, or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings.
  • Menu Knowledge: Describe menu items, including daily specials, and advise on menu selections to enhance the dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant experience is essential, with a focus on providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
