Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive vehicles to pick up and deliver goods, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining accurate records of items received and delivered.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle maintenance and safety standards are met.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physically demanding role, requiring lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and organized approach
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week, with a dental plan, health care plan, and permanent employment.
