Job Title: Route Driver

We are seeking a skilled Route Driver to join our team at Ryan Company Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive vehicles to pick up and deliver goods, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring safe and secure handling.
  • Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physically demanding role, requiring lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and organized approach
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
