Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a seasoned Transportation Project Manager to enhance our Transportation Division at McIntosh Perry. This position offers a remarkable chance for a proactive professional to spearhead transportation infrastructure initiatives, encompassing preliminary engineering, comprehensive design, tender documentation, construction oversight, and post-construction evaluation, particularly in collaboration with governmental transportation bodies and local authorities.

Qualifications:

  1. Completion of post-secondary education in civil engineering (Degree, technical diploma, or equivalent).
  2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation and infrastructure projects.
  3. Proven track record in coordinating and managing project teams within the transportation sector.
  4. Experience in guiding and mentoring project personnel.
  5. Strong knowledge of QA/QC/QM processes as well as Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  6. Demonstrated familiarity with Alberta's transportation design guidelines and construction standards.
  7. Must possess a valid driver's license and be open to travel, including occasional overnight assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the execution of transportation and infrastructure projects for various clients, from design through to construction.
  2. Develop proposals, prepare tender documents, estimate project costs, and manage budgets and forecasts.
  3. Ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  4. Coordinate and manage the efforts of project staff throughout the phases of preliminary engineering, detailed design, contract formulation, construction, and post-construction.
  5. Provide expertise in construction and contract administration, along with leadership and mentorship to team members.
  6. Facilitate coordination of project requirements with environmental, geotechnical, utility relocation, and land acquisition teams as needed.
  7. Act as a liaison between clients, stakeholders, and the project team.
  8. Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to all safety codes, guidelines, and regulations as part of our Health, Safety & Environmental management system.
  9. Perform additional duties as necessary.
