Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

At Bunge, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead our EHS programs and ensure a safe working environment for our employees and contractors.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bunge's global EHS standards.
  • Provide technical EHS support and expertise to plant leadership teams and workforce.
  • Coach, counsel, and develop employees on EHS best practices and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Implement EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors on worksite safety practices and environmental permits.
  • Monitor and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with Bunge's global requirements and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform observations and audits to monitor the effectiveness of EHS programs and standards.
  • Track and investigate injuries, illnesses, near-miss events, environmental incidents, and non-compliance events.
  • Promote environmental sustainability at the plant and partner with the corporate environmental team to collect data and drive improvements.
  • Ensure fire protection and security systems are properly managed to protect property from loss.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and manage their execution in the event of an environmental emergency or other adverse event.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 10+ years of safety and environmental experience, with demonstrated experience in improving SIF potential incidents and HPEs.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation/presentation skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and related business software.
