Job Overview

The primary objective of this position is to develop strategies, craft compelling copy, oversee accounts, and manage deployments to enhance customer lifetime value through our client's email and SMS marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for strategizing, planning, outlining, managing design, building, and launching campaigns and automation workflows. Monitoring click-through rates, sales performance, and conducting regular A/B testing will be essential to gather insights across various subject lines and offers. The core responsibility of this role is to comprehensively manage and scale email and SMS accounts, focusing on customer retention and maximizing lifetime value.

Our top priority is to drive growth and return on investment for our clients. You will be expected to manage internal needs while providing insights and strategic roadmaps for clients on how to scale and enhance their marketing efforts. Your experience will guide decision-making and risk assessment to foster growth. You will facilitate ongoing communication with both the team and clients to ensure a shared sense of urgency in increasing revenue and retaining newly acquired customers through personalized relationship building.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, including Paid Social, Paid Search, Conversion Rate Optimization, and Creative/Design. Direct collaboration with your team and the account manager will be crucial in planning cohesive marketing strategies that stimulate growth for our clients. To excel in this environment, we seek a data-driven individual with a proven track record in identifying, developing, segmenting, executing, and optimizing retention marketing campaigns. You will adapt and evolve strategies to meet client needs, focusing on enhancing lifetime value and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of campaign calendars and automation backlogs for email and SMS services, effectively communicating a clear execution plan both internally and externally. Manage a Digital Designer and Developer as necessary to ensure timely delivery of high-quality assets.
  • Prioritize projects and initiatives aimed at scaling clients' email and SMS marketing programs to drive lifetime value.
  • Establish and manage a retention framework that encompasses testing, tracking, analyzing, implementing, and iterating while keeping clients informed throughout the process.
  • Adopt a data-driven approach to analyze performance and provide strategic recommendations for improving future outcomes using insights from relevant analytics platforms.
  • Document clients' sales objectives and identify changes to their email and SMS marketing strategies that can facilitate achievement of these goals.
  • Create weekly and monthly reports, along with reporting dashboards, to visualize data and demonstrate progress to clients consistently.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a retention-focused role within a brand or agency, particularly in direct-to-consumer eCommerce.
  • Expertise in creating and optimizing multiple email accounts at scale for eCommerce brands.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and relationship-building capabilities, including the ability to hold team members accountable and navigate challenging conversations.
  • In-depth knowledge of email marketing, email service providers, copywriting, and best practices for email deliverability, as well as familiarity with other messaging platforms like SMS and Messenger.
  • Demonstrated experience in the direct-to-consumer sector with proficiency in Klaviyo or other major email service providers, including hands-on experience with A/B testing and persuasive copywriting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a team.
