Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with a robust background in estate matters. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience and demonstrate a history of providing exceptional legal services.

  1. Deliver expert legal counsel in estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and related documents.
  2. Oversee estate administration processes, ensuring adherence to legal standards and client preferences.
  3. Advocate for clients in estate litigation cases, such as will contests and trust disputes.
  4. Provide strategic legal advice on complex estate issues.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to create comprehensive legal strategies.
  6. Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments.
  7. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service.
  8. If applicable, contribute to the firm's corporate law practice by advising on governance and related matters.
Qualifications
  1. A minimum of five years of bar admission in British Columbia.
  2. Significant experience in estate planning, administration, and litigation.
  3. Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and document drafting.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Capability to manage multiple clients and cases effectively.
  6. High standards of ethics and professionalism.
  7. A client portfolio is advantageous but not essential.
  8. Residence in British Columbia is required.
