Job Title: Respite Supportive Roommate

Supported Lifestyles Ltd. is a not-for-profit agency providing services to adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Our Residential Services team offers support to individuals with varying needs in group home settings.

Job Summary:

The Residential Supportive Roommate will provide direct, front-line support in their home, utilizing behavioral intervention skills to benefit the individuals we support. This role requires providing in-home support for 2-3 weekends a month.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support with all areas of daily living, including life skills such as budgeting, household management, grocery shopping, meal preparation, health and medical support, transportation, and support in active recreation.
  • Experience working with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges is essential.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Human Services, Social Work, or Psychology, is an asset.
  • Ability to help clients balance social outings and relaxation time.
