About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geophysical Service Advisor to join our team at Nanometrics. As a key member of our Geophysical Data Analytics team, you will play a critical role in processing passive seismic data, evaluating results, and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Expand market awareness of our products and services by effectively communicating their features and benefits.
  • Generate technical reports and presentations for clients, consolidating diverse seismic monitoring solutions into easily interpretable packages.
  • Provide contextualization for seismic data, applying industry-specific knowledge to enhance customer understanding.
  • Manage processing projects from start to finish, utilizing the full suite of Nanometrics deliverables.
  • Present processing results and lead technical discussions with clients, deploying, parameterizing, and optimizing Nanometrics processing tools as needed.
  • Build, tune, and optimize 3D velocity models for seismicity monitoring and microseismic processing purposes.
  • Process and interpret large geophysical datasets from various passive seismic monitoring applications.
  • Assist in the implementation and integration of new geophysical data processing techniques into client project workflows.
  • Provide continuous feedback on Nanometrics data analysis tools and processes to drive improvements.
Requirements
  • BSc in Geophysics, Seismology, Physics, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a professional geoscientist in the oil & gas, mining, or related industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain product functions and market trends.
  • Understanding of markets, trends, competitive landscapes, industry product offerings, and customer challenges.
  • Technical sales or business development experience, with proficiency in math and signal processing.
  • Understanding of and experience with earthquake analysis principles and techniques.
