Your duties as a cashier include:

  • Processing transactions at the cash register or handheld scanner
  • Accepting payments from customers using the store's accepted methods
  • Conducting regular cash deposits from the register
  • Ensuring the cash register is balanced according to company standards
  • Providing customer support for inquiries regarding products and services
  • Maintaining cleanliness in work areas such as cash registers and reception counters
  • Bagging items previously scanned at the register if necessary and handing them to customers
  • Carrying out any other related tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor
