About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Hampton Village Child Care Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our children and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Housekeeping: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, values and ethics, patience, honesty.
Requirements
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 35 to 40 hours bi-weekly.
