Tax Specialist

Fed Finance is a leading recruitment agency specializing in accounting and finance positions. We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a Tax Specialist to prepare tax provisions and corporate tax returns, including SR&ED forms and other tax credit claim forms. The successful candidate will also be responsible for updating calculations of various tax balances, reviewing commercial contracts, and coordinating tax audits with tax authorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare tax provisions and corporate tax returns, including SR&ED forms and other tax credit claim forms
- Update calculations of various tax balances, such as protected income, surplus accounts, ACB, capital dividend account, etc.
- Review commercial contracts to assess related tax risks
- Coordinate tax audits with tax authorities
- Coordinate and follow up on instalment payments
- Participate in the preparation of ad hoc transfer pricing documentation
- Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations
- Conduct research and analysis on key tax positions to properly manage associated tax risks
- Collaborate with and support the tax team on business acquisition projects, tax planning, and internal reorganizations
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and respond confidently to urgent management requests
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, and PowerPoint environments, as well as the SAP system
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- High level of accuracy and sense of urgency
