Financial Reporting Director

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team as a Client Financial Reporting Associate Director. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements for investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and mutual funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare interim and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and Canadian ASPE.
- Review financial statements prepared by junior team members for accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with internal parties, auditors, and investment fund managers during financial statement preparation and audit.
- Share expertise and provide recommendations to clients on financial reporting requirements.
- Lead and participate in special projects.
- Stay current on changes to accounting and regulatory requirements for investment funds and financial instruments.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of experience in preparing, reviewing, or auditing financial statements for investment funds.
- 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
