As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative and interdisciplinary team, providing direct and indirect patient care in a supportive environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to continuous learning. As an Internationally Educated Nurse participating in the SPEP program, you will have the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of a preceptor, applying and developing your skills in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients with addictions and/or mental health diagnoses
  • Contribute to fluctuating patient care needs according to CNO standards and RNAO Best Practice Guidelines
  • Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments
  • Initiate clinical assessments following admission and at various other times
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams and individual team members as appropriate
Requirements
  • Evidence of participation in, or qualification for, the Supervised Practice Experience Partnership as found on CNO Registration Portal
  • Evidence of international nursing education and experience
  • Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and deal with acutely ill patients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and respectful communication style with patients, families, and staff
  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
