Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at Top to Bottom Drywall & Interiors Ltd. As a key member of our interior construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster to create a durable and long-lasting surface.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and prevent damage.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise and secure fit.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to create a stable and level surface.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to prevent any imperfections.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a strong and durable bond.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling are required to access and work on various areas of the drywall.
  • Handling heavy loads is necessary to move and install drywall sheets and materials.
  • Physically demanding work is required to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade is preferred.
  • Or equivalent experience in a related field is also acceptable.
