About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motel Managing Supervisor to join our team at Lacombe Motor Inn. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our motel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and manage a team of staff in various areas of responsibility, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Client Service: Assist clients/guests with special needs and ensure that their expectations are met.
  • Operations Management: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Staff Development: Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, and arrange for repair work as needed.
  • Supply Management: Requisition materials and supplies as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, and flexibility.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
