We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Solution Architect to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions that meet the needs of our large enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and Design: Lead the design and architecture of IAM solutions that align with enterprise security requirements and standards.
- Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Identity and Access Management, policies, practices, and authentication protocols.
- Partnering with Stakeholders: Partner with stakeholders from upstream and downstream systems to ensure proposed solutions align with technical and security standards or frameworks.
- Contribute to Technical Strategy: Contribute to the overall IAM and security technical strategy and roadmap, including authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, and governance.
- Technical Documentation: Produce technical solution documents, design/architecture diagrams, and security design documentation to support new, proposed, or existing IAM solutions.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver technical presentations or knowledge walkthroughs of existing and proposed application systems to various audiences.
- System Security: Ensure all software and infrastructure systems have appropriate information controls, backup and recovery strategies, and are designed for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate, perform root cause analysis, and resolve system problems during standard work hours and/or assigned on-call hours.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to Level 1 and Level 2 support and development teams in relation to the catalogue of IAM services and solutions provided.
- Experience: Three years minimum IAM Architecture experience.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge in workforce authentication and single sign-on technologies, IAM solutions based on Microsoft Entra ID and Forgerock, IAM web access management, authentication, authorization, single sign-on, application/SaaS integration, security compliance policy implementation.
- Operating Systems: Strong knowledge on Windows and Linux operating systems, Tomcat, directory system, networking, and system monitoring technologies.
- Protocols and Standards: Strong knowledge on SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, LDAP, MFA, Rest API, API Gateway integration.
- DevOps: Strong knowledge on DevOps such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, etc.
- Programming Languages: Working knowledge and understanding of Java and web application development.
- Identity Lifecycle Management: Working knowledge and understanding of identity lifecycle management and governance/auditing.
- Problem Solving and Communication: Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong communication both verbal and written, and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with business partners.
- Security Certifications: Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GISF, GSEC will be considered an asset.
- Additional Skills: Experience in Ansible, Sailpoint, and IBM WebSphere will be considered an asset.
