Maintenance Planner

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at Sonoco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule maintenance work to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Use MP2 software to manage work orders and preventive maintenance plans
- Collaborate with the Mechanical Lead Hand, Electrical Lead Hand, and MRO coordinator to prioritize maintenance work
- Communicate maintenance schedules to affected parties and ensure all necessary parts are kitted and delivered to jobs
- Identify areas for improvement and assist in creating plans for improvement efforts
- Understand the importance of Preventative/Predictive Maintenance and plan and schedule related activities
- Assist in troubleshooting of preventative maintenance issues
- Work closely with the MRO coordinator to update spare parts lists in MP2 as required
Requirements:
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance skills and mechanical and electrical equipment
- Excellent organizational skills and strong level of computer skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and self-motivation
- College certification in Engineering or related field is preferred
- Available to work conventional shift (days) and willing to work overtime, as required
