Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Financial Reporting Manager will oversee junior team members within the Finance Department. This role entails managing the financial and accounting processes, ensuring the timely completion of all internal and external financial reports, coordinating the year-end audit, and developing new financial reporting tools within the accounting system, all while adhering to internal financial controls and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries.
Operational Oversight: Lead a team of Financial Reporting staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks to established standards. Set team objectives and conduct performance evaluations. Facilitate team meetings and provide training on accounting standards relevant to Real Estate Financial Statements under IFRS. Continuously assess and enhance the financial close process to expedite reporting timelines. Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, assist with audit coordination, and develop reporting procedures to meet internal control requirements.
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to excellence in customer service;
- A Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Accounting;
- A qualifying CA designation is mandatory;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in audit advisory, external reporting, or corporate finance;
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS is essential;
- Exceptional verbal, analytical, organizational, and written communication skills;
- A proven ability to foster business opportunities and partnerships;
- Experience in the Real Estate sector is advantageous;
- Familiarity with Yardi property management systems is a plus.
