About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Credit Risk team at Banque Nationale du Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, validating, and implementing credit risk models to ensure the bank's resilience and healthy growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate credit risk models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor the performance of credit risk models
  • Participate in large-scale projects and represent the sector at various forums
  • Contribute to the advancement of the sector on the evolution of modeling practices with regulatory requirements and industry advances
Requirements
  • Relevant education and between 3 to 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist
  • Excellent proficiency in SAS and/or R and/or Python
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in credit risk
