Job Title: Stringed Instrument Repairer

At Sinoman Music Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Stringed Instrument Repairer to join our team. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of instrument repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with stringed instruments to determine the necessary repairs.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on stringed instruments using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Test and adjust repaired instruments to ensure proper functioning.
  • Calibrate instruments using hand tools and precision instruments.
  • Train and supervise junior technicians and apprentices.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Recruit and hire new technicians and carry out related staffing actions.
  • Recommend personnel actions and establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and prepare reports as required.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in stringed instrument repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of stringed instruments, including their mechanics and electronics.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MS Office and other computer software.
  • Knowledge of musical theory and history.
  • Ability to read and understand musical notation.
Work Environment:

The Stringed Instrument Repairer will work in a fast-paced repair shop environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest quality of instrument repair and maintenance.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

30-44 hours per week.
