We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Assistant to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Unit Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clerical and patient-related support to the clinical team, including scheduling appointments and preparing examining rooms.
- Assist patients with their needs, prepare charts, and perform receptionist duties.
- Order supplies, process physicians' orders, and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Pan Am Clinic Ward Clerk Training Program.
- One year of experience in a nursing unit or six months of experience in a ward clerk role.
- Knowledge of computer systems.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to retain confidential information.
- Good telephone manner and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to stressful situations and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of assisting patients in wheelchairs.
