About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Government of Northwest Territories. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients in a hospital or medical facility setting, including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct routine checks and tests to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff performance.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • 2 years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a hospital or medical facility setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
