About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Design Technician to join our team at J.L. Richards & Associates Limited. As a key member of our architectural group, you will work alongside exceptional people to deliver world-class solutions that support community building and growth in our cities.

As a talented and entrepreneurial individual, you will have the opportunity to take on existing clients, develop new relationships, and contribute to the development of innovative projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and technologists on integrated multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Participate in meetings and work closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to develop projects.
  • Prepare tenders, construction drawings, and various documents and reports for industrial and commercial projects.
  • Develop and communicate ideas using a design process and collaboration model that includes a wide range of tools.
  • Assist architects, engineers, and technologists with project execution during all project phases.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Complete technical, multidisciplinary, and peer reviews.
  • Lead in the architectural technologist group and mentor junior staff.
  • Travel between JLR offices and project sites across Ontario and Canada, as required.
