Role Overview

Your Responsibilities:

As a vital member of the Canadian Banking Branch network, you will focus on delivering exceptional service throughout the customer journey by:

  • Managing a designated portfolio of high-value and/or complex small business relationships to meet retention and other agreed-upon objectives while adhering to Scotiabank's Service Standards.
  • Establishing a strong presence in the local business community by fostering relationships with various Centers of Influence.
  • Actively engaging with both new and existing clients to cultivate strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive guidance, empowering them to build successful enterprises.
  • Collaborating with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment.

Qualifications:

  • A results-oriented mindset with a solid understanding of the small business landscape, including knowledge of small business products and services, financial statements, risk management policies, and legal documentation.
  • Proficient in business development techniques and familiar with small business legal structures, lifecycle, competitor offerings, and alternative financing sources.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills; enjoys meeting new people and collaborating with others.
  • Educational background in a business-related field or equivalent experience as a small business owner.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
