Position Overview

As an Appliance Service Technician Apprentice at ADVANCE APPLIANCE LTD., you will be responsible for providing exceptional on-site service to our customers. This role requires a commitment to learning and developing your skills in appliance repair and maintenance.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Engage in on-site customer service at various locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical tests including voltage and resistance using specialized equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot faults utilizing testing devices.
  • Replace defective components to ensure optimal appliance functionality.
  • Provide customers with insights regarding the services performed and the condition of their appliances.
Equipment Expertise
  • Experience with large household appliances is essential.
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable and pass a criminal record check.
Physical Demands
  • This position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Tasks may involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Personal Attributes
  • Dependability and strong interpersonal skills are crucial.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Experience Level
  • Preferred experience of 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field.
  • Permanent position with a commitment to 40 hours of work per week.
