We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bakery Team Member to join our team at Aba's Bagel Company. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other sweet and savory treats.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Bakery Operations: Bake mixed dough and batters, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and prepare special orders.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, and inspect kitchen and food service areas.
- Team Leadership: Train staff, supervise 1 to 2 people, and ensure a fast-paced and efficient work environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and standing for extended periods.
- Personal Qualities: Dependability, excellent oral communication, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
