About the Role

Ravenstone Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction and repair of buildings, structures, and other projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct, repair, and install structures and fixtures.
  • Build Foundations and Install Floor Beams: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the stability and integrity of buildings.
  • Work at Heights and in Various Environments: Work at heights, outdoors, and in various locations, including construction sites, to perform tasks related to carpentry and construction.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience in the field is an asset.
  • Certifications and Training: Possess Working at Heights training and a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with hand tools and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads, with a physically demanding work environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, values and ethics, and punctuality are essential qualities for this role.
