We are in search of a Manufacturing Engineer to become a vital part of our team. This role demands an engineer proficient in lean methodologies, quality assurance, metallurgy, or CNC programming.

Role Summary

The incumbent will undertake professional engineering and scientific tasks that vary in complexity. Responsibilities will include applying fundamental engineering and scientific principles to resolve assigned challenges. The role necessitates the application of engineering knowledge to a diverse range of technical assignments within the company's technical staff.

Core Responsibilities

Conduct routine investigations or tests related to the creation of new designs, methods, materials, or processes, utilizing specialized knowledge in various scientific and engineering disciplines. Gather, correlate, and analyze technical data essential for completing assigned projects. Prepare comprehensive reports, charts, graphs, and other documentation, providing recommendations to senior personnel. Initiate and develop designs for a variety of products, processes, components, or equipment that require moderate complexity analysis.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with ISO-9001 Quality System and ISO-14000 Environmental System. Permanent work authorization for Canada is required. A valid Canadian Driver's License. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), AutoCAD, Oracle, and Manufacturing Systems. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities. Experience with lean tools (5S, time study, standard work, SMED, value stream mapping, problem-solving tools, TPM – Autonomous Maintenance, etc.). Review daily production objectives to identify gaps and enhance performance; track progress through visual metrics and reporting. Manage daily production enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through Tier (Team) Meetings, Leader Standard Work, Gemba Walks, Accountability boards, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in continuous improvement projects. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
