About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Orbis Construction Group Inc. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the Type of Glass and Materials Required

Assess the project requirements to determine the type of glass, frames, and materials needed for the installation.

Measure, Mark, and Cut Glass

Measure and mark the glass to ensure accurate cuts, and then cut the glass to the required specifications.

Position and Secure Panes in Frame

Position the glass panes in the frame and secure them using the appropriate fastening methods.

Assemble and Install Prefabricated Glass, Mirrors, or Glass Products

Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products according to the manufacturer's instructions and industry standards.

Install Door, Window, and Other Hardware

Install door and window hardware, including handles, hinges, and other related components.

Assemble, Erect, and Dismantle Scaffolding, Rigging, and Hoisting Equipment

Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment as required for the project.

Read and Interpret Blueprints, Maps, Drawings, and Specifications

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and compliance with industry standards.

Work Term and Hours

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.

Language

English language proficiency.
