Pipefitter Specialist

Grande Prairie, AB

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our maintenance team at Roska DBO Inc.

This position requires local residence or relocation to the Grande Prairie area, with occasional travel expected. The successful candidate will conduct all activities in a manner that supports Roska's CORE Values.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass pre-hire drug and alcohol screening
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver abstract
  • Journeyman or Apprentice trade required
  • Oil & Gas Industry experience considered an asset
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional oral and written English
  • Willing and able to work out of town for extended periods
  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand process pipe drawings, fit pipe spools according to spool drawing
  • Perform equipment inspections
  • Complete all documentation and requirements
  • Clamping and structural support of pipe systems
  • Comprehension and compliance with all safety procedures

Competencies:

  • Experience with flange management
  • Hammer Union experience an asset
  • Good knowledge of hand tools and threading equipment
  • Ability to perform material take-offs for piping systems
  • Work well with others and at times with little or no supervision
  • Ability to follow direction and maintain a high level of awareness and concentration
  • Capable of working within a fast-paced environment
