Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at Quinte Immigration Services. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately record and classify financial transactions
    • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
    • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Financial Analysis
    • Prepare financial reports and statements
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize financial performance
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure financial integrity
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate financial information to management and other stakeholders
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date
    • Provide financial guidance and support to other team members
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Skills
    • Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting software
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
