We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Care Provider to join our team at Neighbourhood Pet Clinic. This is a permanent position that offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals.
Work Environment- Work Language: English
- Hours: 38 to 44 hours per week
- Relocation: Costs covered by employer; willingness to relocate is required.
- Setting: Veterinary clinic.
- Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose illnesses or abnormal conditions in animals.
- Administer treatment to sick or injured animals, including prescribing medications and performing surgeries.
- Implement vaccination protocols to prevent and manage diseases.
- Provide expert advice to clients regarding animal care, including nutrition, behavior, and hygiene.
- Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
- Deliver a comprehensive range of veterinary services, including obstetrics and dentistry.
- Supervise and mentor animal health technologists and care staff.
Responsible for overseeing a team of 3-4 individuals.
Qualifications and Skills- Education: Degree in veterinary medicine or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a veterinary setting.
- Personal Attributes: Dependable, accurate, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Must be bondable and eligible for professional liability insurance.
- Immunization records and a criminal record check are mandatory.
- Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).
- Must possess manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
