About the Role

This is a Full-Time position on a 4 day on, 3 days off fly-in/fly-out rotation in the industrial sector. This position is responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of maintenance activities on an industrial plant site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the Company and client's safety, environmental, and quality systems' standards and legislative requirements.
  • Conduct and ensure that all resources engaged for maintenance execution are appropriately inducted and accredited.
  • Respond to client requests in relation to maintenance execution and maintain Client relationships.
  • Ensure that objectives and activities are linked to, and support Company and client expected outcomes.
  • Analyze history, monitoring performance benchmarks and developing performance continuous improvement program in the area.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports in the maintenance team and lead by example and promote the quality and customer service culture and continuous improvement.
  • Promote cooperation with Supervisors in resource sharing.
  • Manage & control costs associated to the maintenance by adhering to financial processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree + 6 Years of Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Fundamental proficiency of design and operating principles of static and rotating equipment.
  • An understanding of and commitment to the safety, environmental and quality systems.
  • Working proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Strong leadership skills and previous experience as a superintendent in heavy industrial plants/refineries and/or maintenance projects.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, mechanical plant maintenance and job site management.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Skills in coaching and developing others, including the ability to motivate.
  • Safety tickets and orientations required, as per client/project's requirement.
  • Able to travel, when required and a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as Maintenance Manager in an Oil and Gas facility would be a huge asset.
  • Computer literacy including MS Projects and/or Primavera.
  • Trades/journeyman qualifications are an asset.
  • MMP certification is a strong asset.
