Recreation Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreation Leader to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As a Recreation Leader, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse groups of people, including preschoolers, children, youth, adults, and seniors, in a variety of settings and program formats.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver recreational programs that promote physical activity, socialization, and skill development.
- Lead activities that cater to different age groups and interests, including arts and crafts, fitness and wellness, performing arts, sports, and outdoor adventure.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for participants, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of our community members.
- High school diploma.
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.
- A valid driver's license (Alberta), an asset.
- HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport (successful completion by end of probation).
- HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (successful completion by end of probation).
- Experience working with children, programming activities for children, leading children in activities, and ensuring safety protocols and procedures.
- Competencies in client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership.
English is the primary language of communication, with bilingualism (English and French) being an asset.
