Senior Project Manager - Track Engineering

Gannett Fleming is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Project Manager specializing in Track Engineering to supervise rail engineering initiatives within the Canadian Rail and Transit industry. This position offers a unique blend of project oversight and technical engagement, collaborating with Transit and Rail specialists to serve clients throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client and Design Team Engagement: Foster and sustain relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Project Oversight: Direct the planning, design, and construction phases of projects.
  • Technical Direction: Create detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction.
  • Expertise Provision: Offer specialized insights and produce comprehensive reports.
  • Project Administration: Oversee all facets of project execution.
  • Track Infrastructure Development: Spearhead design efforts for various transit systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Mentorship: Guide and develop junior engineering staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng).
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in track engineering.
  • Background in rail and transit projects.
  • Familiarity with local agency codes and standards.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil3D and/or Bentley OpenRail software.
  • Experience in design-build project environments.
