About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Trimac Transportation. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide strategic guidance and support to our business leaders, driving organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our business leaders, providing guidance on performance management, employee relations, labour relations, and conflict resolution matters.
  • Partner with our operational management team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that promote a positive work culture and compliance with employment laws.
  • Lead and/or participate in People and Culture initiatives to drive employee engagement and retention, talent management, diversity and inclusion, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions to address employee relations issues and ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.
  • Create relevant documentation as needed.
  • Respond to grievances as needed.
  • Participate in and/or lead collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Analyze metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, relevant employment law, and best practices to proactively recommend innovative solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience with at least 2 years in a business partner or similar role or equivalent experience.
  • Labour Relations experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships throughout all levels of the Company.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change.
  • Very strong judgement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related post-secondary equivalent; related professional certification is an asset.
